The intermittent issues with access to the UTMB learning portal, Taleo Learn, have been resolved with the vendor. AIS is continuing to monitor.

IT Services: Telephone System Capacity Test

 On Wednesday June 10th from 5am through 12pm, ITS Voice will be testing capacity of the UTMB telephone system.  During this time callers may experience dropped calls and/or poor audio.  If you experience a dropped call please hang up and try your call again.

UTMB website platform updated June 1.

UTMB’s web infrastructure was updated Monday night, June 1, 2026. The work on internal and external instances of UTMB's Sitefinity content management system (CMS) has been successfully completed. 

We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have questions about Sitefinity or the upgrade, please write to sitefinity@utmb.edu. If you have general questions or experience problems now that the upgrade is complete, please contact the ITS Service Desk.

Disaster/Weather Emergencies

In the event of a disaster or emergency weather conditions, please refer to the following lines of communication for more information:

  • Call the UTMB main operator at (409) 772-1011.
  • Information is also available via the web at www.utmb.edu/alert. Should the UTMB web server go down, a second server is in place as a backup and will be available via UTMB's normal URL: www.utmb.edu.  Additionally, an informational site will be activated at www.utmbinfo.com.
  • See www.utmb.edu/emergency_plan for UTMB Health Emergency Operations Plans.
  • Monitor local television and radio stations including KPRC/950 AM, KTRH/740 AM and KIKK/96 FM in Houston.




UTMB Alerts is a "reverse 911" system, the application augments existing emergency communication resources such as email, web and phone-based alerts. Stay informed.
